Voices de la Luna A Quarterly Literature & Arts Magazine and Are Pleased to Announce The H-E-B/Voices de la Luna Annual Youth Poetry Contest for secondary school students 18 years old and younger Deadline to Submit: March 31, 2021 Extended to April 7 at midnight Award Presentation: April 24, 2021 To enter:

  1. Choose a work of visual art you love or one published in Voices de La Luna as inspiration or as a loose point of departure for an original poem.
  2. Include the words: “After” followed by the title of the artwork & name of the artist below the title of each poem. (example: After Las Meninas by Diego Velásquez)
  3. Submit up to three poems by emailing them to poetry@voicesdelaluna.org

Requirements Any style of poetry form is eligible Any subject is eligible Any public or private artwork is eligible 28 lines maximum Begin each new poem on a new page On a separate page from the poems, include the following information: ❉ Name ❉ Email Address ❉ Phone number ❉ Title of the poem(s) ❉ Title of the artwork(s) and name(s) of the artist(s) which inspired each poem ❉ School ❉ Grade ❉ Age ❉ Teacher's Name ❉ Teacher's Email Address ❉ A link or photo of the artwork
